Don't dwell on things for too long.

Hey what's up folks? This is your boy Brad H once again, and welcome to another edition of "Brad H's Perspective". As always, I hope all is good and well with everyone. Today is a Sunday, and I'm pretty excited. Tonight I'm participating in a fantasy football draft for one of the leagues that I'm participating in this year. Being a part of the fantasy drafts is a reminder for me that football is right around the corner. Like many others, I'm looking forward to the upcoming football season starting. Alright it's time to get into this weeks topic. Today's blog post is going to be another fairly brief and to the point post. It has to deal with dwelling on the things that happen in our lives.

Now we're all aware that life is like a roller coaster ride filled with many ups and downs. Life often includes many twists and turns that can affect us and how we live our lives. Most of ups, downs, twists, and turns are for the better. However, sometimes they're for the worst. As great and wonderful life is, there are always bad things hovering over us. There is no way around it. No matter who you are in this world, you're going to face problems and challenges at some point or another. Now I personally believe that we as a people worry ourselves more over the bad events that take place in our lives, rather than focusing on the good ones. I'm in no way saying this applies to everyone. There are some people in the world that are extremely positive, and hold their heads up regardless what is going on. I personally just see more instances of people pondering on the bad events that takes place. I personally believe this is one of the biggest mistakes that we can make. We can't allow ourselves to dwell on anything for too long.

The biggest problem with dwelling too long on anything, is it defeats us from progressing. Constantly thinking and pondering on the bad things that happen can lead to stagnation. It's totally fine to feel down about certain things that happen. That's what being a human-being is all about. We all have feelings, so there are always going to be things to occur that have an effect on us. Life is very unpredictable and can be full of disappointments. However, it's not about how you take the disappointments; it's about what you do next. We can choose to lay down and allow them to beat us down, or we can choose to take action. Are you going to let disappointments get you down to the point where you stay down, or are you going to react? Those are the choices that we all face.

Most people measure winning or losing on whether a person places first in a competition. Life itself is a competition that is full of winners and losers. My personal belief is that the only way a person can lose is if they choose to take themselves out of the game. As long as you're in the trenches trying to progress, you're a winner regardless if you're where you want to be or not. Everyday that we wake up is a new day to make things happen for ourselves. The main message that I'm trying to convey in this post is that we need to keep on moving and progressing. Lets not dwell on the bad things for too long. As I said in a previous blog post, we gotta keep it moving.

Well that's it for this weeks edition of "Brad H's Perspective". I hope anyone who read it enjoyed it. I'm bout to sign off for this time, but hopefully I'll be back in a few days or so with another topic. I hope that everyone has a great weekend ahead. Also shout out to all the students going back to school this week. I hope you all have a great school year. Till then, peace, love, and blessings to all. Brad H out!
