Realization, And How It Plays A Role In Our Lives.

Life can be a complex thing to figure out and understand when it comes to the important aspects of how life operates. There are many infinite details that are both big and small that make up life what entail life. I believe that it is quite normal for the good majority of people to go throughout life without paying attention to the small details that make up life. Most of us pretty much take life day-by-day without always acknowledging those details. It really isn't that hard to imagine being that life doesn't come with a handbook on how to live. Furthermore, when you factor into account how a world that has billions of people will never be seen through the same lens for everyone. I've come to learn over the years that when people say that life is what you choose to make it, you can best believe it is a truthful statement. However, regardless of how a person lives or chooses the view their individual world, there is something called realization that affects us all throughout our lives. Realization is going to happen to us all at some point in various spots. It is something that we'll have while we're young, but it really affects us if we're fortunate to be able to live a decently long life. Even if you're blessed to see a long life, realization is something that will never stop happening for as long as you live. I believe that realization plays a large factor in our lives for those of us that make an attempt to pay attention to the detail of life. It is for that reason that I chose to use realization as a main theme for this week's topic of Realization, And How It Plays A Role In Our Lives.

What's going on once again folks? This is Brad H. coming through once again for another installment of 'Brad H.'s Perspective'! I am here to bring a topic that I believe would be beneficial to us in our life's journey. I hope that you all have been maintaining and doing well since the last topic that was covered. It has been a pretty wild couple of weeks for me personally. As some of you may already know, I am from Texas and we were hit with a very rare winter storm last week. It wasn't just Texas that was affected by the storm, but we were the only state that had massive power outages. I was one of the lucky ones that never lost power, but with everything that was going on with the storm, I just decided not to even attempt this topic last week. If you all could do me a huge favor, please keep the people of Texas in your thoughts. There were a lot of tragedies that came from the effects of this storm. People died from not only the cold weather, but also things like carbon monoxide poisoning from trying to stay warm through dangerous methods that most people wouldn't attempt in normal circumstances. There are also a countless amount of people that have busted pipes and damage to their homes of devastating proportions. I pretty much liken this storm to a winter hurricane when it comes to the aftershock of what took place. So now that I've gotten that out of the way, lets go ahead and delve more into my thoughts on realization and the role that it can play in our lives.

Now when it comes to the idea of realization and how it relates to our lives, I would be doing a disservice to the readers if I didn't point out that realization is something that is purely subjective to whomever it applies to at a specific point in their life. As I mentioned in the opening, realization is something that will happen throughout life. However, for where I am planning on going with this topic of realization, I mainly want to give my perspective from a viewpoint of becoming older. This may not apply to everyone, but I still hope that it is a topic that most can at least relate to. Now before going further in this topic we have to define what realization is. A broad definition of realization is defined as "an act of becoming fully aware of something that is fact". I personally think of it as having epiphany type of moments in our lives where things suddenly come to us and make sense. Now of course this can and does happen at many points throughout our lives, but I personally feel that it becomes easier for us to pick up on realizations as we become older and mature. Again, this isn't always the case due to what I point out in the opening. That being the idea that most of us go through life while not always giving attention to the details that we generally overlook. From my own personal perspective, glossing over the fine print that comes along with living life can hinder us when it comes to having realization.

So when we're talking about the small details that we as people generally overlook in this life when it comes to realization, what does this mean exactly? Well from my own perspective, the small details in life are the truths that come along with life that we tend to overlook. One example of many that I could give is the fact that we has humans have a short span of life. Think about it from the following viewpoint. Even if a person lives to be 100 years old, that is a small amount of time compared to infinity. That's not to say that life is short, but is a lot shorter than we think. Most of us tend to overlook this because we don't typically think about death when we're young. It doesn't feel like a reality because it feels like it is far away, even though we all know that isn't the case. We all know that death can happen at any age or any moment, yet we tend to overlook things of this nature until it becomes a realization. Now again, this is just one example of many. The main point here is that it is easy for us to overlook life's small truths, but despite how easy it is to do this doesn't mean that we shouldn't be making an effort to not overlook them. I believe that the biggest realizations happen when we get to the point where we're no longer glossing over life's smaller details.

So we have established how the small details of life have an influence on our lives, and I've given an example of what it means to overlook certain aspects of life. We've arrived at the end where I feel that realization plays its biggest role. From my own personal perspective, I believe that realization when it comes to life is something that we should be striving for sooner rather than later. One of life's realities that most of us hate to think of is the fact that one day we're all going to die. We've all heard stories of what many people have said while they were on their deathbed taking their last breathes. Some of the stories we've heard from others have been harrowing, and that is where I think that there is an opportunity to learn from. Though it is something we all long for, the truth is that not all of us are going to see a long life. This is why I believe it is important for us to have the ability of realizing things quicker than those that have come before us. One of my favorite quotes is that "a wise man learns from his mistakes, but a wiser man learns from the mistakes of others". Life is a gift that should always be cherished. It is for that reason that I believe working towards giving more attention to the small things that matter in life should be prioritized. We're here now, so now is the best time for realization. Whatever realization means to you personally, do whatever you must to find it before life passes you by.

Well that is all I got for you all this go round. Thank you once again to those of you that stopped through for another installment of 'Brad H.'s Perspective'! The Importance Of Laughing And Smiling As Often As Possible (Troubles Are Always Lurking).

Most of us have heard the saying "Laughter is good for soul" at sometime or another. As I have grown older and wiser, that saying has come to impact my life significantly. Smiling and laughter are probably two of the easiest things that we as people are able to do. They don't cost anything to do, and very little effort is required to engage in them. Growing up as kids, we were taught to smile for pictures, as well as laughing whenever we see or hear something that we find funny. Easy right? While I believe that it is important for kids to smile and laugh a lot, I also feel that it is just as important for us as adults to find things that smile us smile daily. Too many of us find ourselves caught up in the daily struggles of life that we often forget the importance of laughing and smiling. Most of us are aware of how smiling and laughing can benefit us mentally and psychologically. I mean we naturally feel good whenever we're able to engage in these acts genuinely. However, I've grown to realize that there is another benefit that these acts can potentially bring us; appreciation. Life is unpredictable, which means that troubles are always lurking. This is one of the main reasons why I've come to realize the importance of laughing and smiling as much as possible.

Hey, how's it going ladies and gentlemen? Brad H. back at it once again with another edition of 'Brad H.'s Perspective'! Hope everyone has been doing well and staying positive since the last post. It's been nearly two weeks since the Super Bowl has taken place, and I thought I would quickly share my thoughts on the result. In my last post, I had mentioned how I didn't like neither team, but I was pulling for the Falcons since they had several local players. I also mentioned that I thought the Patriots would win, which was ultimately what happened unfortunately. While watching the game, I was very excited thinking that Atlanta was going to win once they took that commanding 28-3 lead. I was texting with several friends about how it was over, etc. Of course that turned out to be wrong in the end. I really have no explanation for why Atlanta basically conked out in the second half of that game. It really looked like an entirely different team that showed up in the second half. I jokingly told a friend that they clearly must have celebrated at halftime and had a few drinks or something. Anyway, although it is disappointing for me to accept, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is now a 5 time Super Bowl champion. I really feel bad for the Atlanta fans out there. Its gotta suck to know that your team blew a lead that big. Anyway, I just wanted to give my thoughts on the game real quick. Now lets go ahead and talk more about the importance of laughing and smiling as often as possible.

As I always point out before discussing topics on here, peoples individual viewpoints and opinions will always vary. The goal here isn't to focus on what is considered right or wrong, but rather to paint a topic in a light that readers may not have looked at before. I don't expect everyone to share in my views, but I do hope that the way I view things can leave others with something to walk away thinking about more. Any comments or views on this or any other topic that anyone may have are always welcome here. There isn't much to get into on how this topic came about. As I stated previously, wisdom and age deserve the biggest credit for why I thought about this particular topic. This topic is one that I often talk about my family members of mine. I mainly discuss it often because I feel that we often don't appreciate how blessed we are whenever things are going fairly well for us. Many of us develop that complacent state of mind and forget that all it takes is a second for things to change. As with the majority of my writings, I hope that this topic can serve as a reality check for those of us that may be in need of it. If you are one of those people that this may apply to, there should be absolutely no shame in needing a reality check. I think it is something that we all need occasionally.

So we all know and hear about how small acts like laughing and smiling help regulate good vibes. For whatever reasons that may be, laughing and smiling just makes us feel happy for that present moment that we're engaging in them. From my perspective, I believe there is no price tag that can be placed upon seeing someone that you haven't seen in a long time that you care for, which fills us up with unspeakable happiness that causes us to grin from ear to ear. I also believe that there is no tangible value on seeing something that causes us to laugh uncontrollably until the point where we're crying tears of joy. All of these things make us feel good and happy right? Now we're all aware that in life, for everything that is good and makes us smile and laugh, there is also bad that comes with frowns and tears of pain. There is no getting around the fact that regardless of how much happiness and joy that life can bring, pain, heartache and sorrows are also a huge part of life as well. A huge chunk of the heartaches of life that we experience are things that happen outside of our control, but there are some people that bring a lot of these things upon themselves. Well bringing it upon themselves may not be the best characterization, but some people allow themselves to mentally remain in a state of depression when things aren't going so well.

So why is it important not to allow ourselves to remain in a negative state of mind constantly? Think about this for a second; one day you keep on living, someone that you know or love is going to die. More likely than not at some point in your life, you're going to know what it is like to fall in love with someone and experience a heartbreak. You're going have the experience of wanting to achieve a goal, only find that you're gonna experience failures occasionally. You probably get the gist of what I'm saying, but the thing that these things have in common is that they are guaranteed to happen eventually, and they also bring heartache and disappointment. So it's fairly plain and simple why it is important to laugh and smile as often as possible. We have to do these things have often as we can because troubles and hardships are always lurking. Death, strife and stress are all guaranteed in this life, so in between those sad moments that are guaranteed to happen in life, we have to be able to smile and enjoy life as best as we possibly can. As I mentioned earlier in the post, smiling and laughing can help give us a sense of appreciation. Since they are feel good acts, they can help teach us to appreciate the good moments in life, because the bad is always waiting in the cut.

Now with all of that said, I'm in no way saying that we should always be laughing and smiling. Life is all about balance, so of course we're going to face moments of sadness. All I'm saying is that we should always find something to smile or laugh about daily. Beyond just being a great act to engage in, smiling also has many benefits to us both physically and mentally. A few of them include the releasing of endorphins, lower stress and anxiety, and the increase of the immune system. So the message in this week's post is pretty clear and straightforward. Lets work on finding more reasons to laugh and smile daily, because troubles will always be lurking. I'm pretty sure that many of you out there don't have a problem laughing and smiling, so hopefully this can serve as a help to those that maybe have had a hard time finding reasons to smile as of late. Just know that no matter how much darkness you're facing, there is always something to smile about. The quote that I'm going to leave you all with today comes from a great song by India Arie called "There's Hope". There's a lyric in the chorus on the song that goes; "There's hope, it don't cost a thing to smile, you don't have to pay to laugh, you better thank God for that."

Well my peeps, we have arrived at the end of another installment of 'Brad H.'s Perspective'. I thank everyone that stopped by to check out what I have to say once again. It's All Going To End Someday(Treasuring Those Close to You).

I think that a lot of us take being alive for granted. It's not something I think we do intentionally. After all, being alive is the only thing that we know of. Being alive is the natural thing for us to do. Unless you've had a near death experience or something of that nature, none of us really know what it's like to die. Since being alive is all we know, I think that a lot of us believe that it's always going to be that way. From my perspective, it appears that most of us have to lose someone close to us to really grasp the fact that the gift of being among the living is really precious and valuable. I recall having a conversation with my mother about a month or so ago about how everything we're doing will come to an end someday. I thought that particular conversation would be a good basis for another 'Brad H.'s Perspective' posts.

What's up folks? Hope everything is going well for you all. So for this time around, we're gonna be digging into something that most of us don't really like to think about. Some people may find this blog post kinda sad and depressing. However, a depressing post is not what I'm aiming for, but I also believe in reality as well. Yes life is full of highs and happiness, but in reality, there can also be a lot of pain and sadness at various points of life. Remember some of those risks that we took when we were younger? It could have been anything from jumping from somewhere high up risking injury, or doing anything that could have resulted in a serious injury or death. Most of us engaged in risky behaviors mainly because at the time we done those behaviors, we believed that we were invincible. We're always seeing on the news people dying from taking risks, or we may even personally know someone that done something reckless that resulted in something bad happening. I can't speak for anyone else, but as we get a little more older and wiser, we tend to value our lives a little bit more. Most of us become more conscious of the things we do.

There's a saying that goes "Some people never realize what they got until it's gone." I'm not sure who came up with that phrase, but I think it perfectly describes the mindset of the many. Like I mentioned earlier, it seems that most of us have to lose someone to really see the impact and relevance that they hold in our individual lives. I think that because we're so familiar with being able to call and spend time with someone we care about, we begin to assume that it's always going to be that way. Whenever the time comes when it's no longer that way, it can hit hard like two cars colliding head on. Losing someone we love can be extremely taxing on our minds, and can be so hard to accept at times. This is why I think it's vital for us to do all we can while we can with the people we love.

Life always gets hectic from time to time, and for some people, it tends to be constantly hectic. Despite that, making time for those close to us should always be one of life's priorities. It's easy to live in the moment, and I think living in the moment is important. However, it never hurts to think forward as well. All the things that we're doing right this moment, along with the people we care for aren't guaranteed to always be there - nothing in life is. I told my mom about a month or so ago while going to visit my sister at school that one of the reasons why I enjoy the times she, my sister and I spend together so much, is because I know that someday it's going to end. Whether I leave first, or if it's either one to them that leaves, we're all on borrowed time just as all of us are. That's why I feel it's important to take care and value with everyone you love.

I'm going to go ahead and wrap this post up. The most important thing to remember is that nothing and no one lasts forever. Always live in and enjoy those irreplaceable moments with the people you care for. People always say that life is short, but I feel that life is only short for those people that don't have a better purpose for living besides getting ahead in life. Just keep in mind that no matter how much money or status a person has, it's all empty unless you have people in your life that help give your life a higher sense of purpose. Treasure those precious moments people, because all of this will end someday.

Well that's it for this edition of 'Brad H.'s' Perspective'. Hope you all enjoy the post. Again, I want to say that this post wasn't meant to be negative or depressing. Just wanted to give people something to think about, and show that yes there are good experiences in life, but there will always be tough ones as well. Like all of my posts, everything mentioned applies to myself and how I aim to live. Whether you found it helpful or useful, I appreciate you taking out the time to read these posts. Alright we're signing off for this time around, so everyone stay up and take care. See you in the next one. Peace!
