For those of you that are fans of R&B music, you're probably heard with the group Jagged Edge. I remember a song Jagged Edge had back around in 2003 titled "Walked out of Heaven". There was a lyric from that song that went "If I continue to push, she'll just pull away". Now I know that the singer was referring to love in that song. However, that's not exactly what I'm referring to in this particular post. I'm mainly just using it as a comparison. I'm referring mainly to people and life. Believe it or not, many of us often push some of the people that we care about most out of our lives, because we're too involved in their lives. Lets take this for an example.
You can have two people that are friends with each other, and end up falling out because one of them wants to know the other friend's every move. They may want to know what's going on in their personal life, or always constantly calling or texting them. You may ask yourself, isn't that what friends and family are for? To be there for one another, and to know what's going on with each other. Well, yes it's very true that we want people in our lives that we can rely on etc. However, everyone has a personal life. Sometimes that personal life that includes things that people don't care to share with anyone. No matter how close you may be to someone, there will always be things that you don't know about them.
Some people may view this as a surprise, or even suggest that something is wrong with this. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. As free individuals, we are free to live our lives however we see fit. As long as we're not hurting anyone or breaking the law, you're allowed to be whomever you wish to be. The bottom line is that you have to live your own life, and let others live theirs. If a person doesn't want to have anything to do with you, move on and get over it. If you truly care about someone and they push you away, let them. If you're a good friend to them, they'll most likely end up regretting it down the road, and it leaves you with the option of bringing your personality into someone else's life that will appreciate having you. Remember this, a person that has faith in themselves doesn't worry or dwell on how others treat them.
So to sum it all up, live and let live people. Quite frankly, a person should be focused so much on themselves, that they shouldn't have time to pry around in others business. Know your limits on how far to dig into someone's life. You may find yourself losing them if you push and pry too hard. Let people be themselves. Finally, keep it moving if someone isn't interested in you. It can be challenging, but it's definitely possible to do. Well that's it for this edition of Brad H's Perspective. I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Thanks for reading, and we'll see you soon with another update. Brad H out!
